What is your role within the company?
My role within the business is Client Relations & Finance Manager. This means I am responsible for keeping our clients abreast of what is happening on their development. I speak to all of our clients at least twice a week and as Andy is so busy it means they have another person they can come to if they have any questions or require any info. This role also involves a lot of admin and organising Andy’s diary and travel for the month. The second part of my role is finance and I am responsible for all the companies invoicing as well as producing financial reports for SHC, our current clients and new business. I really enjoy this part of my role and being able demonstrate and advise on what schemes and lodge styles etc will generate for our clients financially.
On a day to day basis, if you could only name three tasks that had to be completed, what would they be?
- Speaking to all our clients
- Updating the company’s invoicing
- Orgnaising Andy’s busy diary, which can sometimes be a full-time job in itself!
What is your favourite part about working with Sutton Hospitality?
It would have to be the team! Getting to work with such passionate people every day really makes all the difference. We all have a very strong work ethic and share in SHC’s ethos to always put the client first.
What would you say is the most challenging part?
Probably just the volume of work! My role means I am constantly spinning lots of different plates and jumping out of different projects and roles so just trying to make sure nothing is missed is definitely my biggest challenge.
If you were given only ONE tool/piece of technology to do your job – which tool would it be and why did you pick it?
It would have to be my iPhone, I can use it to call clients but also keep a check on my emails to make sure everyone has been responded to – I couldn’t actually live without it!
